- India ranked 114 in the annual gender survey of the World Economic Forum (WEF). The survey started first in 2006.
- Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana (VKY) is launched by Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs to improve the infrastructure and human development indices of tribal population.
